Another tooth is out. It gets creepy.

Maxim’s third tooth came out yesterday. This time it’s from the top gum. The thrill is somewhat gone – we’ve been waiting for it for far too long, and there are still 29 or so to follow. And than we’ll go over the cycle again in a few years.

There is a difference from the previous two teeth though. And Maxim figured it out pretty fast – he can make sounds with his teeth only. He puts his teeth against each other and moves his jaw back and forth. The weirdest sound ever. Especially in the morning. It sounds like something in between a heavily blocked nose and a really old door. It took me a while to find the source…

The first tantrum

As with many other first things, I missed Maxim’s first tantrum. Olga told me all about it though and somehow I don’t feel very sad that she was in my place.

It happened today in the park, while they were taking their regular walk. Maxim was using something unstable as support and Olga moved him away to for a safer environment. He bursted into cry and shouting. It was so extensive and unexpected that Olga stood frozen. Stairing at him. It must have been quite a sight, because Maxim got amazed by the look of his mother and stopped unreasonable behaviour.

So Olga was caught unprepared by Maxim’s tantrum, and Maxim got caught unprepared by a puzzled look of Olga. I guess they saved each other from an overload, although none of them actually understood what was happenning at that moment.

I guess we’ll see some more of this in the near future. The time has come.

Another check-up

Maxim’s temperature is under control now. But we’ve got another problem. It seems that one of the syrops that we gave him caused an allergy. He is all covered with tiny red dots.

We went to see Dr.Simos again. He confirmed that Maxim has an allergetic reaction. We decided to stop with all current syrops and to try a new one – an anti-allergetic one. Hopefully it’ll help.

Maxim’s behaviour is healthier. He is more active overall. But with all the red stuff he is sad to look at.

Off into tomorrow…
