I know of a lot of people who enjoy having a terminal window with scrolling logs on their desktop. Setting one up was never a challange, but there are some nice KDE options that one could use that not so many people know about. At least I didn’t know until today.

Father’s Day
Today is Father’s Day. It is the first time I celebrate this holiday and it is the first time someone (who do you think? Olga, of course) has congratulated me with it. I feel strange and proud. And confused maybe. I don’t know what to do.
I never new the holiday existed until I came to Cyprus and met lots of people from different countries. Back in Russia noone celebrates this day. Neither it seems to be a big deal here, on the island.
Anyway, congratulations to all dads out there. Enjoy your parenting days as much as I do!
You know that …
… the quiz is not for you when it starts with “What state do you live in?”. I wonder, is it so hard to learn that there is much more to the world than just The United States of America?
One of my favourite sounds is…
…the sound of my car’s engine at 3,500-4,500 RPMs. If combined with the thrill of acceleration, I’m practically going positively mad. And that doesn’t have to be the fourth gear, you know. Second does it just fine.
Google Maps for the whole world
Slashdot has this post notifying everyone that Google Maps now cover all the world. These are good news, but some of us will still have to wait. Particularly, there is nothing more than a rough map for both Cyprus and Russia.
