If you had a chance to have dinner with any historical person, then who would it be? Who would you choose and why? Two prohibited answers are Albert Einstein and Jesus Christ.
I would choose Sir Winston Churchill. There is something about this guy that tells me he was an excellent company for dinner – educated, intelligent, communicative, funny.

Al Pacino has 42 movies listed in his filmography at IMDB. These include filmed, filming, announced, pre- and post-production. Robert De Niro has 70. Sean Connery has 78. Anthony Hopkins has 98.
I’m sure you can easily remember a movie or two with any one of these guys.
And you probably have never heard of Ron Jeremy. And even his face looks very unfamiliar to you. Nevermind the fact that his filmography lists 918 movies. In most of these he played had one of the main roles.

Maxim and I went to the beach early in the morning today, as usual. The weather seemed nice, but it was pretty harsh when we got to the sea. Misty clouds were filtering out a lot of sunshine and there was a very very strong wind. It was so strong that all the umbrellas by the sunbeds were closed to prevent them from braking.
The beach looked pretty empty too. It seemed that you had to be insane to enjoy the beach in conditions like this. Because of the limited sunshine and strong wind the water felt very cold too. I was questioning myself for reasons to stay. I was eager to go home. But Maxim seemed to enjoy himself and didn’t mind the weather at all. Since he is the main reason we go swimming, I decided to stay.

While playing around with Delicious I thought about how useful it would be to have a calendar which could operate with tags. This way, a jazz festival in Cyprus that is going to happen in Cyprus during 16-18 of September this year, for example, could have been tagged as “jazz”, “festivals”, “events”, “music”, “cyprus” as well as “16sep2005”, “17sep2005”, “18sep2005”. And maybe even as “year2005” and “september”.
It is easy to find some format to express dates and times – there is no question about that. After that is done, the set of events can be represented in a variety of forms. The usual calendar table could be filled using the date format. The list of events for a certain month or year could be combined. Or it could even be categorised based on tags.
It would be possible to make queries like “Show me the list of music events that are planned for September 2005 in Cyprus” or “Show me the list of Cyprus festivals”. These could be easily used together with the usual calendaring stuff like “What is planned for September?”.
If there was some calendaring application that could work with Delicious it would awesome! Just think of the possibilities! A combined calendar of events with geographic locations and links to website for more information maintained by a bunch of interested people. And since Delicious provides RSS feeds for everything, it would be really easy to update and monitor such a calendar. That would be partially competing with the service provided by Airset. Purhaps there are even some commercial applications that could be based on this service.
Now all we need is for someone to create it…
I think that by now all of my friends have bought digital cameras. The range is pretty wide – from cell phone crap to semi-professional hardware. What I can’t understand is what all of you guys are doing with this cameras? I mean – where are the pictures? All of you have web access and most of you have your personal websites. Hell, I even saw most of you snapping pictures. Where are they? Why are you hiding them?
