Total lunar eclipse

If you are reading it minutes after I post, then don’t lose precious time – run outside and look at the Moon.  Today you have a rare opportunity to observe total lunar eclipse.  If you are, and you probably are, late, then consider the illustration below.  Since I don’t possess all the necessary skill and equipment to make a photograph, I turned to my mad drawing skills.

Feel free to reuse the image as you wish, and please ignore all the scientific inconsistencies – I am not much of an artist and I had limited time.  After all, space bodies involved in this phenomena are moving fast.

Interestingly, even Google search is tracking the movement of the shadow.

Grand Opening of Dark Angels Club, Pafos

Yesterday I went to Pafos with a few friends to attend the Grand Opening of the Dark Angels motor club.

Even though it started a bit earlier than usual – about 3pm – it was still quite a party.  Live hard rock music, plenty of beer, friends, and awesome motorcycles and more.  In fact, there was so much fun that I went into my head banging mode and today almost every muscle of my body hurts – that was quite a workout with System of a down, Rammstein, Pantera, Deep Purple, and others.

British stand-up comedy tomorrow night

Stand-up comedy is a rare occasion here in Cyprus.  Especially so for the comedy in English.  Tomorrow night (April 4, 2011) is you chance to attend a stand-up comedy event with not one, but four UK comedians!  The gig will take place at Kingston’s Rock Bar, next to Rio Cinema.  Tickets are 15 EUR.  Doors open at 20:00, comedy starts at 21:00.  There is even some sort of Keo beer promotion.  For more information call +357-99400363.
