I love photography. For me, it’s like painting, but better. And more accurate. And unlike painting, I can actually participate. I am not a big success or great master by any means. But I enjoy taking pictures. I also enjoy looking at other people work and sometimes sharing it. When I do, this is the category that I use.
At this time in his life, Maxim just loves anything that makes sound. Plastic bags and present wrapping paper are two of his most favourite toys. It’s fun watching him concentrate so hard on them that he forgets what he is and where he is.

Finally I got my act together and processed all the pictures. Out of 250 frames I selected 125. Mostly those are of Ian Gillan with a microphone. Steve Morse with his guitar and Don Airey up at his keyboards are the next most covered. Basist Roger Glover and drummer Ian Paice were on the other side of the stage, so their pictures aren’t as spectacular as of others, but I’ve go them covered anyway.
I’d like to thank Slava who started the whole argument with the security stuff and found out that it was OK to bring in the photo camera and that only video cameras were banned. If it wasn’t for him, I would leave my camera in the car and none of this pictures would have seen the light of the Web.

It’s been a long time since I bought myself some photo accessories. My financial situation does not allow for anything ultimately cool for the time being and it won’t change at least until the end of the year. But I decided to feed my appetite with some starters, so I made a small order:

Maxim’s grandma (my mother) is back in Cyprus. She arrived today via rather crowded airport of Larnaca and she will stay with us for the next two weeks.
It was interesting to see how both of them (her and Maxim) were rediscovering each other. Maxim didn’t remember her at all. That’s not surprising as he was only about one month old when he saw for the last time. Now he is about four and a half. She didn’t recognize him as well. He has grown and matured and changed a lot.
Lots of emotions and warm feelings are floating around…

Maxim can now easily grab each one or both of his feet. With some more trickery he can even get his feet into his mouth. Tasting 20 tiny fingers all together at the same time makes him look confused and puzzled. And that’s so much fun to watch!
