One more routine pediatrician check

We took Maxim for his regular monthly check-up with Dr.Simos today.

First, he was measured – 75 cm length, 9.82 kg weight, 46 cm head. Everything appears normal and slightly above average. Good boy.

Secondly, he was vaccinated against the flu (influenza?). This one will have to be repeated in about two month. Originally we didn’t want to vaccinate against the flu, but we were convinced that we should be extra careful because of Maxim’s kidney. And it was dirt cheap anyway.

Thirdly, Dr.Simos we discussed the diet. It’s time for Maxim to get yet another type of food into his system – fish. I guess both Olga and I will have to eat much more food than none we used to.

That’s about it.

Pictures from New Year celebration

Happy New Year

I know you’ve been waiting, so here they are – pictures from New Year celebration. They aren’t many, because a) I wasn’t in a mood and b) I was busy being Santa Claus. But those that are there give the idea of what went on.

Accident updates

I am still pretty hyped up about the whole thing, but there were a few things to calm me down.

First of all, Dmitry offered me a helping hand – he gave me his second car. We drove to the insurance today and added me as a temporary driver for the next month. Thanks a bunch, man! Staying without a car for the holidays would have been pretty tough – now I can finish up holiday preparations.

Secondly, I passed by my insurance and did all the paperwork. The other driver, it seems, haven’t admitted his fault, and so the full round of paper football will take place now. My claim will be faxed to Nicosia, where the insurance agent will gather the reports from the police and from the other party insurance and they will decide who is guilty. Sometime next week they should arrive to the conclusion and inform the garage masters on who will be paying for repairs.

Evacuated the car

I have arranged with my garage to evacuate the car today. We came and spent about 40 minutes trying to put on the transporter. One of the back wheels is pointing to the side and turns the car around a lot. But finally we managed.

I’ve also made a few pictures with my camera phone. You can see them here.
