Google Blog

It is already all over the web (Slashdot article), but I’ll mention it anyway – there is now a Google blog. There are only a couple of posts now, but I hope it will get on. Interesting how it gets a company that provides a service 18 month to start using it. But they are by no means alone in this behaviour. :)

…one more channel to zip through…

Blogs are the TV of the Internet. Reading them is fun, but they are not particularly challenging.

Plenty of channels to choose from though.

Haircut

Haircut: before/afterI’ve been a real lazy bastard for the last few years. Last time I’ve seen a barber was just before my wedding almost two years ago. Today I decided that it’s getting too heavy and hot wearing all these hair around, so I went to see the guy with scissors.

It feels much better now and I’ve got again something to grow. :) Check out the picture the left for the before/after view.

Just in case you’re wondering, haircutting got a bit more expensive during these two years. It was 16 CYP. Now it’s 20. But when you do it once in few years – who cares, right? :)

WRC – Cyprus Rally 2004 photos

Safety carI’ve started the photoalbum where I’ll post all the pictures from WRC 2004 Cyprus Rally. Check them out here. There isn’t much yet, since the rally opens in two days from now. But there will be. I will aslo split pictures into subalbums for your convenience. :)

Meanwhile, I’ve got a Rally Pass for myself. :)

Photojournalism

I’ve stambled across an interesting site – DigitalJournalist.org/. It is a monthly web magazine about digital journalism. There are a lot of articles and photographs to enjoy. I particularly liked this article from a September 1999 issue about Russian photojournalism of today. There are some nice comparisons to the Soviet era and interesting parallels with American photojournalism.

There are also a bunch of journalism photographs at AmercianPhotoJournalist.com, but the site requires registration for almost any action. Still it is possible to see profiles of registered users with their pictures. Nice.
