komanda – IRC for people who write code
Category: Programming
A big part of my work has to do with code. I’ve worked as system administrator – installing, patching, and configuring someone else’s code. I’ve worked as independent programmer, writing code on my own. I also programmed as part of the team. And on top of that, I worked as Team Leader and Project Manager, where I had to interact a lot with programmers. Programming world on its own is as huge as the universe. There is always something to learn. When I find something worthy or something that I understand enough to write about, I share it in this category.
hack {cyprus} hackathon 2014 summer edition
hack {cyprus} hackathon returns for the third year! The event will be held on June 28-29th in Limassol, at Cyprus University of Technology. I missed the last year’s event, but I’ve been to the presentation of the projects in 2012. Hopefully there will be more participants this year, with even better ideas for mobile, web, and hardware projects.

jq is like sed for JSON data – you can use it to slice and filter and map and transform structured data with the same ease that sed, awk, grep and friends let you play with text.

CakePHP Event System
Either I missed it entirely, or knew about it and completely forgot, but … CakePHP has an event handling system, complete with events, listeners, priorities and event data support. Awesomeness!
