Gigapxl Project hosts a few Gigapixel images. All shot with special custom-built cameras. Interesting.

I love photography. For me, it’s like painting, but better. And more accurate. And unlike painting, I can actually participate. I am not a big success or great master by any means. But I enjoy taking pictures. I also enjoy looking at other people work and sometimes sharing it. When I do, this is the category that I use.
Pictures of the firing gun
Here are a few pictures of firing gun and bullets coming out of it. It would have been totally awesome if authors would release some technical details about how they managed to shoot (hmm) the beauty.
Color pictures from the World War I times
Lev has sent me the link to these pictures. These are the color pictures of British troops. As far as I understood it, they were originally shot in color.
Limassol night
Today I was playing with camera stabilization. Not only it was placed on the part of the building, but the shutter was released with the timer to avoid the shake from hands. The resulting picture looks pretty good, so I guess it worked.
Due to a couple of really harsh lights that were spoiling the shot, I had to edit the image in Gimp. That 3-block building slightly to the left of the center is actually a 1 block one.

Wet Limassol
Things look very interesting today morning. It was raining heavily over night, so everything is wet and freshly washed. The sky is cloudy, but clouds are not too thick to stop the daylight. Everything that hasn’t been painted recently looks very dissaturated. Everything else looks oversaturated. I have tried to show this contrast on few images, but I don’t think I have succeded.
