Everyone knows that white men can’t jump. That’s a fact. Fat white man jumping not only look rediculous, but are endangering the lives and well-being of other people on the court.
Never-the-less that was exactly what I was doing today. Jumping. While attempting to play basketball. It was far from a real game and I am sure it looked pretty pathetic.

Just by the title of it, I knew that “Coach Carter” would be one of those films that I like. When I learned that Samuel L. Jackson is playing the leading role, I was 100% sure of it.

Watched “Radio” on DVD. At first I was a bit scared that it will be yet another movie about American football, but luckily it wasn’t. American football was just a theme for the movie. It could have been anything at all.
This film is an excellent drama. Excellent is very easy to measure in my case. If I cry like a baby, it is surely excellent. The story was good, but mostly it was due to the Cuba Gooding Jr. performance. I have already said several times that he is a very talanted actor, and I can repeat that any time. This guy is amazing. Others, of course, acted very good too in this film, but Cuba was unmatchable.

There are some indications in the web, that Troodos Rally 2004 starts today and will proceed for the next couple of days. Cyprus Automobile Association has a tiny bit on its website. There is also a brief mentioning in the news by Cyprus News Agency.
I have both called and emailed Cyprus AA for more information. Email hasn’t got a reply yet. Phone is very tricky for handling Special Stages information – names of Cyprus villages are tricky to foreigners (me and the lady on the other end). I’ve got only few tiny bits.
The ceremonial start will be today in Nicosia at 20:30. Tomorrow, Leg 1 will go through the villages Tseri (6:53 and 12:41), Rouva (not sure about the name, but time is 7:51), Kalo Chorio (8:19), Pyrga, Kalavasos, and few other. Leg 2, on the day after tomorrow will go through the same stages, but in reverse order, if I understood correctly.

this file (MS Excel format, but OpenOffice nicely opens it) with all the locations and times of the event. Cool! They also said that fans can pass by Cyprus AA office in Nicosia to get maps free of charge. Office address is on their website.
