MOTORshow 2004

Subaru Outback

Finally, I managed to visit the “MOTORshow 2004”. There was plenty to see. Cars, bikes, tires, equipment, and anything else that has to do with motor vehicles. Most of the Japanese and Europeancar makers were represented, together with some American and Korean. There was a section with retro cars organized by Cyprus Automobile Association. There were some sport cars. All in all there were 6 huge pavilions. 3 CYP were defenitely worth it.

I have also made a few photographs while at that.

MotorSHOW poster

I was supposed to post lots of pictures of cars today, but since the show is apparently next week, all I have is just three pictures of the poster. Stay tuned though – I am going to visit the show anyway and you’ll get your pictures too.

Subaru Impreza from a different perspective

I found this story with picture on LiveJournal. It is in Russian, so I’ll roughly translate what is says for those of you who don’t read the language.

Basically, it says that there was this guy Jesse somewhere in Holland, who has some rare desease and he cannot walk, so he is always in the wheel chair. Anyway, once this guy told to his mother that he loves Subaru Impreza. His mother went out to the Internet and asked people who own Subaru Impreza if they could come and give her boy a ride or something. Now, picture this – 164 Subaru Impreza cars came into a small town at the same day. That’s some show, isn’t it? The guy was obviously very happy.

There are a few pictures here.

Bike, eh?

BikeIt is not every day that I see a motorbike powered by chainsaw motor. Can you imagine that? I guess you can. Now try to imagine 24 such engines on a single bike. Still up to it? I don’t think so. :)

This does exist though. You can get all the details, more pictures, sound sample and much more here. I am off to trying to figure out how reattach my jaw back from the floor and onto a face.
