I love photography. For me, it’s like painting, but better. And more accurate. And unlike painting, I can actually participate. I am not a big success or great master by any means. But I enjoy taking pictures. I also enjoy looking at other people work and sometimes sharing it. When I do, this is the category that I use.
Olga and I started to prepare the room for the baby. As you might know, we don’t have a spare room just for that, so we have to get rid of our computer room. Today some of the first irreversable changes went in, but before that, I thought that it would be cool to keep a few pictures of the original setup. It will be fun to look at this in 5-10 years.

Olga was baking a cake with berries today. I think those are called black rasberries or something like that. Since this kind of berries does not grow in Cyprus, we have to buy them fresh frozen. Straight out of the freezer and out of the box, they look something like these.
Today’s ‘Picture of the day’ submission portraits a piece of my jacket. I find it a bit amuzing that I was wearing this jacket for many years, also at times when I was trying to find a subject to photograph, and I never looked at it. It turned out to be pretty photogenic. Mostly it is due to the many interesting colors (a combination of white, greenish cyan, blue and black) and textures (it is combined of slightly different fabrics too).
Once again I am convinced that pictures are all around us and all we have to do is just stop for a fraction of the second and look.

If you are into graphic manipulations, Good-Tutorials.com might interesting for you. It boasts 5800 Photoshop tutorials. I’ve checked a few and they are really easy and useful. The beauty of it is that you can apply the same techniques in other graphic manipulation programs, like Gimp for example.
Yesterday, Olga and I went to Svetka’s birthday party. We had plenty of food and drinks, talked with nice people and overall had a good time. Pictures from the party are here.
