I saw a compromised server today being used for mining Bitcoins. Interesting. That puts Bitcoing into mainstream in my book.

They compromise mine as far as they’ll be partially covering the bandwidth costs :D
How much bandwidth do you use, to have a separate cost for it? Even the crappiest hosting companies offer terabytes per month these days. :)
Leonid Mamchenkov, from what I heart from Lev Shuvalov, Bitcoins take quiet some bandwidth, and eat hell of a GPU for mining
I think it’s more CPU/GPU than bandwidth…
Leonid Mamchenkov, from what I’ve read, CPU doesn’t really do a thing from the grids guys setup, you’ll get 0.0000(1) bitcoin just doing CPU mining, mostly GPU’s count… http://i.imgur.com/xvE6YHS.jpg

Bandwidth requirements are low. Bitcoin mining needs good GPU, if you only have CPU, you go Litecoin :)
Do you really care if it’s not your machine? :)
I probably would.
about 0,3 KBps. I would recommend ATI Radeon 6950 or 5870 for mining. To compare my 4 cores are make 9 MH/s .. my ATI 6850 makes 222 MH/s
Coin mining on your own hw is so lame…
True, but do u have 50-70K to play on stock exchange?
and you will have to have ~700K on background, no …. welcome to bitcoin lame mining :)
You’d be surprised…

I was not questioning your financial ability. I am glad if you are able to play on exchange. It was rhetorical question :)
I don’t play forex or any other currency and/or stock exchange. Those are meant to scam people, and I don’t want to get scammed :)
Mining on GPUs is becoming less and less profitable since ASIC miners were released. Mining modules in botnets are being replaced with more profitable malware these days.
