I actually like the new icon set of Pidgin. #
Getting ready to upgrade to Fedora 7. alex_mamchenkov will pass by later with DVD. Reading release notes… #
“In this release, the performance of yum, Pirut, and Pup have been significantly improved.” Just about time… #
I’m looking through smolt stats.Some cool numbers there.Runlevel for example.http://smolt.fedoraproject.org/stats #
Upgrade to Fedora 7 screwed my system REAL BAD. First time with Fedora :( Will have to save my files, format, and reinstall now. This SUX! #
Back to the office.Going through the pyle of email. Will post pictures and blog later today. #
Uploading 111 images to Flickr. Those are from my Greek Blogger Camp 2007 (gbc07) trip. That’ll take a while… #
My photos from Greek Blogger Camp 2007 (gbc07) are up at Flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mamchenkov/sets/72157600313415882/ #
/me looks at a bunch of tiny interface changes on Twitter… I’ve been offline for three days. I’ve been offline for way too long… #
“yum update” on my Fedora 6 replaced gaim with pidgin. That’s OK.But they also changed icons and I’m disoriented now.Not good. #
I’m alive and I’m OK.Socket plugs are different here,so I’m out of power. And SMS roaming doesn’t work here for me too. #
I decided that there were way too many signs to ignore. I’m having an almost offline vacation. Will blog and post plenty photos when back. #
Flickr tag for Greek Blogger Camp is gbc07. I’m even on some of the pictures. But mine aren’t up yet. http://flickr.com/search/?q=gbc07&m=ta #
@atw26 There is something special about women wearing dresses… I can’t put my finger on it, but there just is.. I’ll think and blog later #
Getting ready for the trip.Got myself some Euros. :) #
Antiphishing tools..People who know about them, don’t need them. Those who need them, don’t know about them. This is a dead end. #
Pandor shut down for internaltion users. Last.fm bought by CBS. What’s next? Google sponsoring RIAA? #
89 RSS feeds in Google Reader is my all time lowest. I’m gonna add a few now. Plus I have about 150 in akregator. That one is only growing. #
One picture is a thousand words.Suddenly I understand what Google Maps street view is all about. Thanks TechCrunch. #
wp-hackers (WordPress dev) mailing list stats show about 40% of people using Gmail. And no mutt users. I guess they migrated.Like I did. #
Last week I used Google Maps to find a better parking place near the office. Technology works even in the middle of nowhere. Priceless. #
I need a way to selectively hide labels/tag in Gmail and Google Reader. Anyone can recommend anything? #
The world isn’t perfect yet. I am using /usr/bin/expect for the second time this month… #
@alex_mamchenkov: Greasemonkey script can handle this, yes.”Better GMail” Firefox extension can hide all labels, for example. #
Next few twits will be about me and Greek Blogger Camp.Leaving home… #
on the highway to larnaca #

I.AM.IN.GREECE. :) #
I am in the Internet cafe, in Piraes.Choosing a bus over metro from the airport was a nice thing.I got here fast. Now I have to wait 5 hour #
Internet is 3 Eur/hour.No WiFi.Windows/MSIE only. The trip is good so far. Making notes on the way. Will blog more later. #
I haven’t been online for just a few hours and so much has happenned.Feedburner bought by Google. Now I’ll start using it for sure. Cool. :) #
I’m going to sync some of my notes with Twitter now. Just so that I have some backup. I’ll blog these notes later. Here we go… #
All stuarts on the flight are women. This is, I guess, something very ordinary. However I’ve seen male flight attendants several times. #
Stuarts = Flight attentdants = Air waiters = (almost) Space waiters. Sounds cool. Especially in Russian. #
One of the stuarts was particularly beautiful (on the outside). Her inside beauty wasn’t something that I saw during this flight. #
One of the stuarts had her b/f on the flight (smiled, touched him). Her smiles to the rest were more natural than of other stuarts. #
During safety instructions demonstration, oxygen mask broke. The incident generated plenty of smiles and further attention. #
“tu u spik ingliss?” … boy, her English sux.. #
Video iPOD is not like TV.It’s too small and you have to hold it on TV.It’s just not the same thing.Weird.Maybe needs some more time. #
Playing cool,eh?If you’re so tough, then why do you have tampon in your air? Can’t handle a bit of jet ear pressure? #
That stuart flies too much. While giving flight info she confused our destination. On the mic.Twice.With two different destinations.Rest? #
The stuff they say on the speaker is to be spoken, not heared and understood. #
She knows guys love her. And she shows it. She uses it. And she shows that she uses it.But she’s not beautiful enough to do so. #
I like watching people. I don’t want to judge them at all, but that is what I end up doing.Over and over again. Not my purpose though. #
OK, I think these are all from the flight. Switching to sem-real time.. #
60Hz CRT is killing my tired eyes. Plus this MSIE thingy is weird. And to add insult to injury – it’s all in Greek.I won’t survive this long #
Good thing I have Google Gears and an offlined Google Reader with 2000 items to go through. I’ll switch to this in a while. #
I don’t think sharing my Twitter password with the Internet cafe is a good idea anyway. Good thing that I don’t remember any other password. #
Shift click in MSIE opens the link in a new window. That’s as close to tabs as I could get. #
http://speedtest.net doesn’t work from here because of Flash version.Using the one from Thunderworx: 1758.029 Kbps. But it’s slow. #
Reading through digg. HTML earrings made me smile. :) http://tinyurl.com/yrpy57 #
I need a reminder for that Gates/Jobs video. It would be nice to have the video itself, but for now a reminder will do. #
Steve Jobs + Bill Gates = video in 7 pieces. 1 of 7 is here : http://tinyurl.com/2b95cr #
A couple of guys are arguing nearby. Greek Greek language sounds very polite after Cypriot Greek. No “RE” and stuff like that. #
I’m getting offline for a while. Next tune in will probably happen from the island of Ios, where I should arrive around 10:30am. #
