When listening to other people’s recommendations of movies to see, it is important to remember the tastes of those other people. Otherwise, you might end up watching something that is way out of your value scope. Someone recommended “The Librarian: Quest for the Spear” to me.

And it turned out to be one of the worst movies that I’ve seen recently for a few years now. It is unbelievable how bad that movie is. I think that the video of my high-school graduation was a better movie, although it was so bad that even the guy who made it didn’t watch it until the end.
Basically, the whole thing felt like someone’s required homework project. You know, the kind of project that was done during the night before it was due. I have nothing against such homeworks (and honestly I did a few myself), unless they are released to the general public.
There were a few good ideas in this film, which were borrowed from other adventure treasure-seeking movies. And there were nothing else. The dialogues were terrible. As was character development. As were adventures. As were special effects. As was music. As was everything! I mean c’mon – how many things can you screw up about one movie? I never thought it could be that bad…
Resume: avoid this film. Or watch it and learn from the mistakes. But better – avoid.
