A History of Photography
A History of Photography from its beginnings till the 1920s by Dr. Robert Leggat. This is more of a reference of important people and processes in photography history rather than a book about the art of “recording light”.
WordPress bits
As a new user of WordPress I spent some time studing and customizing it. I’ve seen some really nice resources along the way that I want to promote and be able to find easier later on. For this reason I am writing up this post with links to stuff that I liked. Hopefully it will also be useful to other people trying out WordPress.
Parcel from France
We’ve got a parcel from France today. I have to say that that was unexpected. In the parcel there was a toy and some clothes for Maxim. Yes, I am sure it was for Maxim since Olga’s and my name were written on the envelope. I don’t personally know anyone who lives in France though. After some thinking I realized that the parcel was sent by Sylvy – my mother’s friend. She wanted Maxim to have something French and insisted on some presents. We gladly accepted, although I must say I feel a bit strange getting presents from someone I never met or talked to.
