Visit to Rayan’s Bar and Grill House together with Olga, Lev, and Hazard. It’s been a long time since we tried to get there, but never succedded until today for one or the other reason.

Mushrooms, it seems, is something enjoyed by the chief. Menu has starters like ‘Fried mushrooms’, ‘Garlic mushrooms’, and ‘Rayans mushrooms’. Maybe some other mushrooms that I missed. There was a 50×50 success with main courses (out of four that we’ve ordered). My Mexican steak was tough and dry. Olga’s barbeque ribs were very similar to something Pizza Hut was serving until recently. But there were a lot of those ribs. :) Hazard got a rather enjoyable Rayan’s stake, while Lev went the pork way with the fillet, which was also tender and yummy.

The question of the day is “Would you like jacket potato or French fries with you meal?”, so you’d better be ready with an answer. :)

There are few kinds of draught beer in the menu, but nothing special apart from draught Heineken, which was no more today. Tough luck. :) Selection of tea, coffee and ice cream for dessert. Banana split was rather good and visually much more appealing then Rayan’s ice cream (which looked like an offensive mix of strawberry and chocolate ice cream with lots of chocolate sauce on top).

Overall, a nice place to visit once in a while.

St.Valentines Day! Olga and I went for a walk around Pano and Kato Lefkara. It was freezing outside (with only +3 degrees Celsius) and very windy.

I wasn’t feeling very good all day today, so I had to miss the work. Fighting with my headache, I was listening to a whole lot of loud music. That gave me an excellent opportunity to update my mp3 collection. :)

Late evening I was feeling much better, so I decided to join few other guys from Russian Cyprus in Chesters for few pints and bufallo wins.

It’s official – Hazard is out of the college! He got all his marks today and they are all like ‘A’s and ‘A-‘s. :) Being so glad as he was, it was impossible not to celebrate. So, we ended up in the place called ‘Central’, which is surprisingly exactly the place where FinnBars used to be. They haven’t even changed any decorations or the furniture. Not that they have to, though.

There was no loud music, and there was no crowd. Maybe, cause it’s Tuesday. Anyway, the next big thing is that they actually have 3 (!) measures for beer. Instead of a regular half-pint and pint they have 0.25 litre and 0.5 litre. But they also happen to have 1 litre. And it comes in a proper beer mug. And it’s draught. And they have a variety of beer. My choice of the evening was Guiness.

As all of the above would be not enough, they do have a descent kitchen. Steaks are real good when taken as raw or midium. They also serve a variety of dips with chips and nachos. And a bottle of the Romanian Black Zambuka was spotted on one of the bar shelves!!!

Now, I can say that there we’ll go again soon! :)
