One or three?

While reading through Matt Damon Wikipedia entry on the subject of Jimmy Kimmel, I scrolled further down to his Matt’s personal life, where I found the following sentence:

From 2001 to 2003, he dated Odessa Whitmire, a former personal assistant of Billy Bob Thornton and Ben Affleck.

I know, I know all those jokes about Matt and Ben are getting pretty old now.  But still, the question popped up in my head: is it a single person, as in Odessa Whitmire, who used to work as personal assistant for Billy Bob Thornton and Ben Affleck, or are these three different people, as in Odessa Whitmire, Billy Bob Thornton’s personal assistant, and Ben Affleck?

Before anyone assumes anything, I have to say that:

  1. I don’t care who dates who – that’s their own business.
  2. I have great respect for Matt Daemon, based on many of his movies (I am re-watching the Bourne trilogy at least once a month) and many of his appearances on TV (live shows, talk shows, YouTube interviews, etc).
  3. I have great respect for all those people who made the Wikipedia what it is today.

The above quote looked funny to me probably only because I am not a native English speaker.  That’s all.  Enough with disclaimers – you can now tare me apart and flame me into oblivion.

Via this blog post I came across an amazing artist – Jason Seiler.  Being an amateur photographer, I am not much into paintings.  I always thought that most paintings miss the details and accuracy of the photographs.  A lot of Jason Seiler’s art doesn’t have that problem.  Some of the images are breathtakingly similar to photographs and only the caricaturist distortion suggests that these are actually drawings.  Have a look at this image of Bill Murray, for example.

On celebrities

I don’t like Paris Hilton. No matter how many pictures I see or rumors I hear. She’s just not my type. Jesse Jane though is a total other story. She is beautiful herself, and I appreciate her line of work much more. You can even call me a fan. Especially after one of her recent movies – “Pirates“

Are they brothers or something?

As you might have noticed, I’ve seen a whole bunch of movies with Cedric the Entertainer recently. While watching all these movies I was thinking that he reminds me of someone. With every film the feeling of deja vu was growing stronger and my mind was working harder trying to figure it out. And finally – BOOM – I remember. He strongly reminds me of Martin Lawrence, who I haven’t seen at all recently.

The similiarities are so strong that I could easily confuse one with another. Of course, Cedric is a lot bigger and heavier than Martin, but that’s about the only difference. They talk the same, walk the same, have similar jokes, their funny faces are the same and they are very similar visually.

But they only time I can remember them together in the same film they looked very different. The film was “Big Momma’s House” where Martin played the leading role of special agent Malcolm Turner and Cedric played a rather episodical role of reverend.
