Clock sync

If you come too early everywhere today, that’s because everyone changed to the winter time, except you. Yes, that’s right, you have to set your watches one hour back.

This clock sync has been the most organized, routine, and expected for me ever. Never ever did I manage to remember about it until it was over, until today. And not only that, this clock change came right in time – after my yesterday’s late night rocking I had to go to the office for the morning shift today. That’s at 7:00 am. So I got an extra hour of sleep.

It’s funny how I am usually the guy on duty when the clocks are moved back and forth. The only thing that helped me to stay sane was that I was getting both time changes – summer AND winter. That was balancing things out. This time though I got to sleep and enjoy that extra hour. And I was prepared.

Rocked a bit

Today I went to “Stork” again with some friends of mine. There was yet another hard rock party. It wasn’t as good as the last time, but it was pretty good anyway. There were enough of both old songs – those that I hear on every rock party, and news songs – old songs, but that I really hear. One of the new songs that really brought up a few good memories was “Another brick in the wall” from Pink Floyd. Among the old ones was an excellently performed “Smoke on the water” from Deep Purple. And yes, it was good even considering the fact that I am among those lucky ones who can compare it to the original.

Although I enjoyed the concert, the atmosphere wasn’t moving enough for me to jump around like a crazy horse and shout like a wounded elephant. Not to worry though. Kakomalis Amateur Song Festival (aka KSP) is coming soon. So far it is expected on November 12th, which is only a couple of weeks away. There I will tear my throat to pieces and abuse my muscles to the point of no return. Again. Yeah. Rock on!

More skills

Maxim is still learning one or two things every day. He progressed to the point when he can repeat pretty much anything we do or say. When he picks up a new move or a new word he repeats it over and over again until he forgets it.

Now he can easily manipulate items with both hands. Sometimes he would play the speed game. He would take an item, like a book or a small toy, with one hand than quickly pass it to his other hand, than back, and than back again, and so and so forth for about five minutes. That one is really fun to watch.
