I think that it is pretty obvious that I will have a lot to say about being a parent and about having a kid in the near future. Not to mix all these posts into the ‘Personal’ category, I am creating a new one – ‘Parenting’. Everything that I’ll have to say about being a parent and all baby stories will go there. All the links to parenting and baby sites that I will come across in the future will also go here.

This website is very old. It’s been with me for many years. There are plenty of articles which are useful both for myself and the rest of the world. Bit by bit, word by word, link by link, image by image, this site was filled and filled over the years. Technologies changed. Some new techniques and concepts came up. Some old ones faded away. Spending as much time as I possible can (after everything else) on this site, sometimes I manage to introduce big changes – like a new bit of functionality or a totally different look. Not to confuse and scare everyone, I try to be open about the changes that were made. When something big is changed I post a description of what it was and why I felt the change was needed. These updates are published in this category.
The Manchurian Candidate
This post will be the first movie review done in the different way. Since some people complained that I have spoilers and irrelevant stuff sometimes and it is difficult to separate these with one glance from the rest of the review, I decided that I will be splitting movie review posts into brief and full texts. Brief text will contain a link to appropriate IMDB page if any, IMDB rating at the moment of writing, my rating, and celebrity highlight, which is basically a list of well-known people associated with the film. The full text (“Read more” link) will contain the brief part as well as my thoughts, descriptions, spoilers, complains and anything else I might right about the film. This way it will also be possible to read the preferred version in RSS feed too.
Anyway, the good thing about immediate blogging (right after the event/happening) is that one doesn’t forget to write about what happened. Yesterday I watched “The Manchurian Candidate” and forgot to blog about it.

New category: Music
I’ve added yet another category for my posts: Music. Having categories for Movies and Photography and not having anything for Music seemed disharmonal to me for some time now. So, here it goes. Don’t expect too many posts in this category though, since music is not playing any important role in my life. Currently at least.
Technorati profile
Technorati is yet another peice of social software. It works very much like del.icio.us, but is more oriented towards your own posts, rather than bookmarks to someone else’s sites.
Since my blog is already monitored by Technorati because of other people submissions, I thought that it would be a good idea to claim my site. In order to do that I needed to either place a permanent link to the JavaScript which or just post a link to my Technorati Profile. Here is another link to Technorati Profile just because I used to have more than one domain for this page.
Reorganization in Photos section
Until today, I had a really simple organization in my Photos section. Pictures for each trip and event were uploaded to a separate directory, which, in turn, were organized by month and year. Single shots and short sequences went into the POTD directory and were announced as my “Picture of the day” achievements.
For some time now I was planning a slight change in that arrangement. Today I got off my lazy butt and actually did the planned changes. I have created a new directory “Projects“, which will have all my photography projects in it. “Picture of the day” is one of my projects, thus it was moved.
Since I have posted links to POTD submissions into way too many forums, I intend to keep those links working. In case you are wondering how I did it, here is a copy-paste from my .htaccess file:
