I love photography. For me, it’s like painting, but better. And more accurate. And unlike painting, I can actually participate. I am not a big success or great master by any means. But I enjoy taking pictures. I also enjoy looking at other people work and sometimes sharing it. When I do, this is the category that I use.
Hooray! Finally I have found a website where I can post my pictures without feeling any shame what-so-ever! :)
Crap pictures – is an excellent collection of all those images around the web, which don’t add anything to the value of the web, but are still there, posted by their respective owners.
I wonder how did I miss an excellent guide by Kodak – “Taking Great Pictures“.
There are simple short paragraphs with direct suggestions and examples of ‘before/after’. They cover a number of topics from off the center subject positioning to shooting of difficult subjects. There are also some very nice pictures.

PhotoFeatures International hosts a huge collection of music band photographs. Images cover more then 20 years of music history. A huge part of this collection are pictures by Chris Walter who has been shooting stars for more then 25 years.
Rather minimalistic site design and small images are spoiling the pleasure a bit, but this is a great resource never-the-less.
I came across a couple of interesting links today. The first one is a simple wizard-like tutorial for creating logos of letters.
The second one, Unleash.com , is a bigger resouce dedicated to all sorts of graphical issues – from logos to 3D. Practical examples mostly cover CorelDraw, but some of them are easy enough to reproduce in Photoshop. There is also plenty of practical theory, which can suggest ways of improving your photographic skills.
Hazard, Olga and I went on a trip to Lara Bay at Akamas Peninsula today. The roads are much worse this year, probably due to heavy rains we had in winter. But we didn’t have any problems, since Vladimir bought himself a second car – Daihatsu Formosa 4×4, which is just the car for trips like this.
The roads were the only item which was different from the previous year. Everything else was untouched and beautiful as it was.
