I love photography. For me, it’s like painting, but better. And more accurate. And unlike painting, I can actually participate. I am not a big success or great master by any means. But I enjoy taking pictures. I also enjoy looking at other people work and sometimes sharing it. When I do, this is the category that I use.
On a busy day like today I don’t have a lot of time to make pictures. But I do try. Hence the two pictures – a white bear scared by my alarm clock hides under the sofa pillow and some night lights shot directly from the car while waiting on the red lights. Some left hand driving we’ve got here.
I hope you appreciate the effort. :)
Today I had only one opportunity to have the camera in my hands. I was passing by those KEO trucks I mentioned yesterday. Why are they still there? I don’t know.
Anyway, three pictures of these trucks are in the appropriate folder (nope, not the Recycle Bin, hehe).
I’ve scanned a few more of those old photos. I think am I am getting better at it now (let me know how to improve via comments). This time it is the beer drinking party in Western Saloon Gypsis Bar on the 7th of June, 2001. Anyone remembers the ocassion? I don’t. But we didnt’ have to have an ocassion back than.

I know I am posting too much about photography lately, but what can I do? :)

Since I now have a scanner, I decided to wait no longer and start practicing my mad scanning skills. I jumped into a heap of photo albums that Olga and I gathered over the years and discovered that we actually have a few pictures from the trip to Malta. We lost our camera that time and I thought that all the pictures were gone. Surprise, surprise, the camera was lost with a new film. Not only we have a bunch of pictures (not very aesthetic though), but we also have a few postcards that we bought there.
I took all of these pieces of paper and scanned them at once. It took me about 2 or 3 hours, but I don’t have the experience yet. It was getting faster towards the end. The scans are OK, but I will read more about the process and hopefully it will get even better.
