I’m seriously considering Google Nexus 10 tablet as a Christmas/New Year present for myself. Anybody tried it yet and say anything good or bad about it?

Dude, I have had the 4 and 7 for quite a while now… Happy as a pig in shit with both of them. Cannot see myself changing anytime soon
It’s good. It’s fast. While the look of it could be better – it’s comfy to handle and quite light. The audio while clear I’m not liking the default setup – after you pass midway the audio becomes all around better – which I think is a bit odd to do by default. Will see if KitKat will fix that.
The biggest disadvantage of the Nexus line – lack of SD card slot. Plus tables don’t have HDMI output. BTW if you’d like to buy it IMHO the best place is – http://www.simplyelectronics.n.....8;sd=specs
Michael Stepanov how is w delivery?
about a week – I bought my Nexus 4 and 7 there
Leonid, keep in mind that Google is going to release Nexus 10 2 soon like they did for Nexus 7 2 which is much better then first version.
Michael Stepanov I don’t really care for an expansion slot – never needed it, even with devices that have one. 32 GB is more than enough for my needs. HDMI – that’s for TV. I’m married with a kid, so no TV for me. :)
I basically want to use it instead of my home laptop. I wonder if I can. :)
Amazon.co.uk seems to have a better deal that simple computing. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsun.....e+nexus+10
To surf Internet, read emails, watch movies over network or from online services is really good. I watched on my even 720p over WiFi and online TV as well. If Amazon will ship it to Cyprus with reasonable price why not to buy it there ;) Regarding the storage. It more important for mobile IMHO but some cloud service solves it :)
Check the ASUS transformer as well – maybe it’d be better option for you to use it as laptop.
That’s the thing … I DON’T want a laptop … I want a tablet instead. Just not sure if I can survive with yet. :)
Leo you will adjust. It will be all about your flow. I got it for work reasons to test sites on. However, this past month it became my pal in crime. 70% of my time was away from pc and this thing kept me in the loop with emails, meetings, work, and personal stuff also. Having said that I still haven’t sorted out connectivity everywhere as I got only the wifi version.
Keyboard wise you can get a case with a bluetooth keyboard for coding if you really need it for that.
thanks George. I am thinking of the WiFi version also. Most places I need it for already have WiFi. For the rest – I have 3G in my phone, which I can share as WiFi :)
I (actually, my wife) own one. It’s ok :)
Just buy an iPad and all your problem will be solved
Haha … yeah .. I think all my problems will just start. I’ll need iTunes, for which I’ll need either a Mac or a Windows machine… no, thanks :)
You might want to wait a little, a new Nexus 10 is coming.
You know, it is just excuses… And you don’t need an iTunes in order to start using it ;)
My friends came for a vacation in summer and brought the ASUS Transformer with them. I was genuinely impressed :)
Mikhail Kushakov maybe not. But I’ll need more money. :)
How much? ( Santa :-))) )
Does EasyForex not paying well? ;) it’s only $100 difference
It’s not just $100 difference. I’ll need to pay for all that software too :)
What software are we talking about?
Have you been to AppStore recently? :)
