There will be a Rock-Metal Festival in Nicosia’s club “Red” on the 2nd of May, 2005. The program will start with hard rock and will end with death metal. The total of four bands will play – X-Element (starts at 21:30), Aeon (starts at 22:15, this is Andrey’s band with the new name), Crest Fallen (starts at 23:20), and Blood Harvest (starts at 00:00). The tickets are cheap – 4 CYP only for more than 3 hours of music.
Andrey Shvachko kindly lets everyone know that his band will perform a couple of their own songs as well as compositions by such grandmasters as Metallica, Pantera, Megadeth, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden, Deep Purple, Radiohead, Limp Bizkit, Slayer and Aria (classic Russian grandmaster).
I myself won’t be able to make it, since I’ll be resting from major rocking and rolling at KSP, but I seriously encourage everyone else to go. If anyone knows how to find the “Red” club, please post via comments. Otherwise, Andrey will blog it later and I will repost and translate.
Update: Andrey made it all really easy for everyone and uploaded the map. He also provided the description in Russian here. The rough translation:
if you coming from Limassol, enter Nicosia from the highway and go straight until you come to the traffic light with Ermes (ex-Woolworth) supermarket, which is marked with the red dot on the map. Turn a bit to the right, to have the supermarket on your left hand side and go straight until the T-junction. Turn left, and go until the first traffic light, where you should turn right. Pass the round about with the fontain and drive straight to the downtown. Go straight until you see SAKKIS SNACK on of the junctions and small square around the turn. If there will be any parking place on the square, leave your car there, otherwise follow the signs for the municipal parking. Walk to the further left corner of the square, where you’ll the sign RED at the beginning of the street.
I strongly suggest to reconsider your plans and go there together. :)
After rocking at KSP I’ll have to do lots of catching up in the babysitting department. I don’t think Olga can last for as long as two days and two nights without my help…
