I don’t think that a lot of people know this – some record companies used to put computer data, such as texts and games, on vinyl records back in 70s and 80s. The story with all the details is here.

I did plenty of weird stuff during my highschool years (not that I’ve stopped now), but the idea of screwing around with my chemistry teacher during a test hasn’t crossed my mind back than. Mostly, I was using regular chemistry classes to play with the reaction ingredients and work on the human body formula (which I finished in my last year at school). Here is one way to entertain yourself during the exam.
Once again there was a huge downtime (about 8 hours) today. I haven’t noticed the disconnection because of my busy schedule for today. The reason was simple though – power plug was disconnected by mother while cleaning up. :)
In order to prevent such longlasting problems in the future, I will setup some external monitoring today that will SMS me immidiately.

Even if you are not going to think about learning Japanese, you should still read this essay, because, I am telling you, it is one of the funniest things I’ve read in recent years.
The only Japanese that I “know” is “Kuma yo oyabun?” which supposedly means “Who is your boss?”. It was translated by some unknown guy into Russian from English subtitles of some American action movie of the 80s. That is one reliable source. :)
