Blow

Watched “Blow” on DVD. This is a quality film, which doesn’t bring up anything new. There are so many movies about some guy or a bunch of guys, who start low in the criminal food chain and grow up over the years, but finally end up either dead or in prison for life.

This film has it all and nothing extra. Oh, no. I am wrong. It does have something extra. It shows how hard it is for parents to deal with criminal child when they didn’t want one to be like that. And that’s about it.

Taken out of the movie industry of the last few years, this film deserves 7 out of 10. But being nothing original by itself, it is closer to 6. Whatever.

I’ve got 4 pictures for today. I attempted to do a bit more of the night photography, but that type of work does require a tripod. Even when you have a solid base to put your camera on. In fact, my base was too solid – it was a part of the building outside the window. The problem with it was that I couldn’t adjust it in any matter what-so-ever.

Today’s sunrise was amazing. There were no ships in the sea and the colors of the sun and clouds were very contrastish. Sun was also very red. The kind you get at sunsets, not sunrises.

Trainspotting

I’ve rewatched the all time classics “Trainspotting” on DVD. This is the best movie on the topic of drug abuse ever made. Highly recommended for educational purposes for all sorts of schools, colleges, and home teaching, despite all the profanity and sexual content.

Not only this film brilliantly covers the topic, but it is a pleasure to watch too. It’s got an excellent cast who outperform themselves. Setup decorations, costumes, and soundtrack are all ideal.

Actually, I cannot give this movie anything below a 10 out of 10 rating. Watch it. Rent it. Buy it. You are not going to regret the experience.
