It’s been some time now since the migration to Nucleus CMS. Everything runs nice and smooth. I’ve started to use Fancy URLs so that Google can better index my Tips and Answers. Fancy URLs is a way of using slashes (“/”) in the URLs instead of question marks (“?”). I’ve also fixed some minor display problems, so that comments now look decent. Migrating older blog records into the database proved to be a good idea – few quick searches did save me a lot of time already.

Downtime
My CPE got fried again leaving me without connection for good 10 hours. That happenned because I started a whole bunch of BitTorrent downloads before I went to bed and the CPE just couldn’t cope with the traffic. Now I am awake and watching the damn thing closely. :)
Scary Movie 2
Watched “Scary Movie 2” on the DVD. One word – hilarious. This time the story is based on “The Haunting“, which apparently was on TV yesterday. Sweet reminder. Other movies that were pretty recognizable and funny did include “Charlie’s Angels“, “Hannibal“, “Mission: Impossible II“, “The Shining“. Recommended.
Monster
Went to the movies to see “Monster“. IMDB does show a somewhat good rating for it – 7.5/10, but neither Olga, nor I liked it. Something is missing from the movie. The story is interesting and original, even boasted to be based on the real one. Acting is nice. Soundtrack is OK. But there is nothing disturbing about the movie. Maybe we were just in the wrong mood. Or maybe because they made Charlize Theron (“The Italian Job“) so visually horrible that she was spoiling the movie. Christina Ricci (“The Addams Family“) was a cutie though. Stupid, psychologically damaged, but cute. :)
Gigli
Having nothing better to do, watched “Gigli” on DVD, which turned out to be a much better movie then IMDB was rating it. Well, it was not something I would defenetely recommend, but it was a rather OK movie. The plot was rather boring with no action what-so-ever, but acting was very well done at times.
Few moments that stand out are:
- Jennifer Lopez getting in Ben Affleck’s apartment
- Jennifer’s and Ben’s sex talk over yoga
- Al Pacino’s monolog (as usual)
These three scenes make this movie worse watching during the boring night, before yet another Friday. :)
