Lots of glitches due to weekends Exchange upgrade.
I’ve upgraded (finally) my home network from 10Mbps hub to a 100Mbps switch. Some of the CAT5 cables refused to work at all, others gave 25-75% packet loss. After a blind change, everything works like a charm.
My brother‘s birthday. I’ve got totally wasted… actually, I hardly remember myself getting that drunk. Nice party though. And we found a new bar to hang out. It will need some draught beer and music enhancements, but it is a good start.
Lots of playing with Axis network camera. Yummy. Good frame rate, good quality, intuitive web interface, motion detector, etc. Movies all the way.
I went to the cinema today to watch “28 Days Later“. It turned out to be total crap.
Nothing special today: few meetings, some shell, some php, some amanda.
Two messages to linux-admins mailing list ended up in linux-kernel mailng list – one thing I never wanted to do, but… Appreciations go to the copy+waste mistake made by our nntp2mail gateway administrator.
From now on, all records will also have a timestamp. The difference from the date is in that I can change the date, but time will always show the actual posting time. Call it pm-am-meter if you wish.
Dates on the main page are fixed, more photos have been added. No feedback yet.
Here goes the Answers section, which I was talking about in the previous post. Guess, I managed to start it today.
Yet another idea for a new section came to mind today. Webalizer reports shows me query strings used by people to find my site in the search engines. Most of these queries allow me to guess what the person who made the query was looking for. It would be cruel of me not to provide the, so much needed, information. Therefor, I will open a section soon (today/tomorrow) which will present queries, rephrased question and answers to those people who found my site in the search engine. Of course, I might be late for some, but late is better then never.
I’ve spent most of the day making a new site. Simple and tidy. No fancy staff. Lots of pictures. Hopefully, it will be released this week to the public. Stay tuned.
