Lyne Perinciolo Duluc

I’m not a big fan of abstract art, not in painting, not in photography, not in sculpture.  But once in a while something catches my eye and doesn’t let it go.  And that’s exactly what happened in one of the offices I currently work.   There is a bunch of paintings (reproductions?) and photographs on the walls.  Most of them are just fine, but I particularly liked this one.

Of course, it looks way better in real life than on this tiny JPEG.  But technology isn’t all that bad.  In fact, while I was looking at this painting, I was trying to figure out how can I find out the name of the artist and see more of his or her works.  That’s when Google Goggles for Android came to the rescue.  I snapped a quick picture, and a few seconds later my mobile told me that this is a painting by Lyne Perinciolo Duluc.  There is not much in terms of biography of her’s on the web, but there is plenty of her other works.

The Art Of Clean Up

I came across something absolutely stunningly awesome today – pictures from a photo book of Swiss artist Ursus Wehrli “The Art of Clean Up”. As far as I am concerned, this is the best take ever on the confrontation of the humans’ will to order and organize everything versus the chaos of nature.

Hand paintings by Guido Daniele

I came across some really cool art – hand paintings by Guido Daniele. On some photos, hands are more recognizable than on the others. But that really doesn’t matter. The variety of subjects is just amazing. Check it out.

If that’s right up your alley, you might also want to check body painting in his portfolio. Some of that staff is pretty cool too. I especially liked his advertising work.

Looks like me

Have you ever seen a picture or a drawing of a person that you thought looked like you?  I’ve asked around and seems to be quite a rare occasion.  Well, the other day I came across a drawing which seems to be of me.  Or of my inner me.  Or of a person I want to be.  Either way, I relate to the drawing.

The drawing was done by a well known artist Jason Seiler.  There are quite a few more in his blog.
