The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Long sleep. Then a real nice duel with shadow on ztr3tourney1. He was leading most of the game, but 2 minutes to the end I’ve taken leadership with 2 frags ahead. On the last minute, he took those 2 frags back and we had a couple of minutes of Sudden Death Overtime. I’ve got all sweaty and nervous with shaking hands and everything, so he used the advantage and killed me once, which was obviuosly enough. :) GG indeed!

After I got back to my senses and had some dinner, we (Olga and me) went to see the “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen“. It’s was rather nice with all mixes of Invisible Men, Dr.Mariarti, Captain Nemo, etc. Details were excellent! Especially the transparency of Invisible Man and Nautilus submarine. It’s not something that I’ll buy on DVD or go to see once again though. :) Anyway, mildly recommended. :)

Shanghai Knights

Not much to do since I am on vacations. Picked up Hazard in the morning and went for lunch to Pizza Hut, then some TV and to the Sophie’s ice cream. Afterwards, a trip to the movies to see “Shanghai Knights” which was yet another excellent movie with Jackie Chan. Lots of fighting and Chan’s humor. Owen Wilson was also good.

Then I had this nice theory that every Jackie Chan’s movie is better then the previous one, until of course someone reminded me of “The Tuxedo“, which was good, but not as good as “Shanghai Noon” and both parts of “Rush Hour”.

Hulk

After all the pressure with work after holidays, I decided that I should go slowly about it and requested another two days of for the next week. 1st of October (Wednesday) will be a national holiday, so I’ll stay at home for the following Thursday and Friday also. Not to mention the weekend. Isn’t it a one sneaky plan? :)

Cinema with “Hulk” watching in the evening. That’s one of the most boring movies I’ve ever seen. If you are going to see it, don’t forget a pillow. Your favourite book might also be a good idea, unless of course you think that it’s difficult to read in movie darkness. :)

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

Grokking the GIMP most of the day.

In the evening, I went to see Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines with Olga and Hazard. The movie turned out to be better then I expected with lots of old-time shooting, smashing, and general kick-ass action. Arny’s butt is still there and got some real nice whipping by Kristanna Loken who played an evil, smart (kind of), fast and totally advanced TX model robot. A must see movie for those who enjoyed the first two parts.
