Looking into pros and cons of Nagios vs. Zabbix vs. Zenoss vs. whatever else. If you have something to say, say it now or forever hold your silence.

Who the hell are this ppl?
Nagios is quite ok, but it’s derivative Opsview is much better (SQL backend, Web-based configuration, nice graphs, etc). I have no experience with Zabbix. Zenoss is probably the best overall, but its hardware requirements are ridiculous.
Vladimir Elenkrig Guardian angels :)
Niv is working with nagios (;
Lior Goldemberg yup, that I know. I was always a big fan of Nagios (even back in a day when it was called Netsaint), but it looks like it’s time to move on. :)
I’m personally using Opsview: it’s easy to setup and maintain and doesn’t require a quad-core CPU and 6 GB of RAM to monitor a small network.
Zabbix FTW!
OMD (Nagios + Check_MK) is better then any of those. It even eliminate the bottleneck of using a database backend. Check out my review:

I’ll definitely check it out.
