First attempt to upgrade Fedora 18 to Fedora 19 failed. Booted from the DVD, which now has a much more useful installer than the previous version. Yet still couldn’t find the “Upgrade existing installation” option. It seems that only the new installations are supported, even though the disk partitioning tool found Fedora 18 partition. Falling back on “fedup –network 19”.
Wrong. It was never a case. They had preupgrade tool before fedup. And CD/DVD always provided an upgrade option. There’s also network boot thingy and kickstart.
RTFM ) The fedup tool supports the following args: –network/–device/–iso.
