RSS Digest

With all the RSS noise and people shouting about syndication, many might wonder how they can easily use RSS feeds and how they can syndicate news from some sites on their own. Well, there are many ways to syndicate, but if you know nothing about programming or, better even, don’t even want to know anything about programming, than RSS Digest is for you.

RSS Digest provides you with a simple form to enter feed URL and specify few parameters of how you want it to appear on your website. Than it generates all the needed code for you to just copy-paste it in to your website. Fast and simple. You can even control how long will it use the cache version before fetching news from the feed again. Excellent tool!

Paparazzi

Watched “Paparazzi” today.

It had an interesting original story, but wasn’t finished as a movie. Usually, you have these good guy fighting that evil guy. They fight, than the good wins and everyone goes home to live happily ever after. In this film though, there is not good guy. People on both fighting sides are bad. Sure, each one of them has his own “good” reasons, but all of them are screwed anyway. This is interesting. And one of the points at which it is interesting is how a traditional happy end is not so much a happy end anymore. One side wins, but that’s only half the evil…

But as good as the idea was, it wasn’t properly developed. There was still confusion if the guys are bad or not. I mean it seemed like the creators of the film were trying to portrait good people doing bad things, when in fact these were bad people doing their regular bad things. There should be more accent there. Story telling and character development also lacked a bit. Some reasons were never explained. Some bits of important information were missing.

Cast was pretty strong with nice touch of Mel Gibson (one of the producers) and Matthew McConaughey cameos went really good with acting of Tom Sizemore, Dennis Farina, and Daniel Baldwin. Cole Hauser was a poor choice for the main role, in my opinion.

Anyway, the film was interesting and entertaining and, I guess, deserves a 6 out of 10.
