I miss movies. Lately I haven’t watched many. Either I was too busy, or there wasn’t anything worth the while. But I got desperate. So I grabbed the first one available. It was “Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo“.
Directed by: Mike Bigelow
Genres: Comedy
Cast: Rob Schneider, Eddie Griffin, Jeroen Krabbé, Til Schweiger, Douglas Sills, Carlos Ponce, Charles Keating, Hanna Verboom, Kostas Sommer, Bastiaan Ragas, Zoe Telford, Miranda Raison, Federico Dordei, Elisabetta Canalis, Johnny Vaughan
IMDB raintg: 4.1
My rating: 6.5 [rate 6.5]
If you don’t know, this is a sequel to “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo“. I watched the first part some time in August, and remember somewhat liking it. The sequel is of the same quality, and even a little bit better. More jokes, more evenly distributed over the movie. Also, since things are happening in Europe (Amsterdam, Holland), it is less American and has some of that European humor. Or, at least, laughs at many of those stereotypes that people have abot Europe in general and Amsterdam in particular. There are plenty of jokes about sex and racism too – as expected.
Overall, I thought it was pretty good time waste. I enjoyed the film. I wouldn’t watch it a second time any time soon, but I had a good time anyway.
