There was a lot of talking about “Hotel Rwanda” recently and I accidentally got myself a copy, so I watched it.

It is a good movie which I didn’t particularly like. It has a point in educating people about some situations in Africa and how uninterested the West is in Africa. It also brings up some nice ethical and moral issues and shows how some people can behave under a lot of pressure.
But for some reason the film didn’t touch me. I was interested in the political situation of the time shown, but it wasn’t covered very deeply. Everything else looked alien to me. I couldn’t associate myself with any characters in the film and thus was pretty bored by it.
Purhaps I should watch it again when I’ll be in a different mood…
