Maintainer of the Bash Prompt HOWTO, it turns out, also keeps a small website with examlpes of different bash prompts. It provides screenshots together with code for some really wicked prompts. If you are into that kind of things, but all of ideas, than check the site out. Maybe you’ll find something for yourself. :)

Courtesy Titles
Hazard sent me the link to this article about courtesy titles. It talks about all those Mr., Mrs., Dr., etc titles from the point of view of website designers and developers. Very interesting read.
I have never used these on any of my websites. It is yet another field to program and yet another boring choice for the user. I am not strong on the legal side of the question, but I don’t think anyone will enforce any law which might be covering the issue in Cyprus. That is, I am in doubt if such a law exist around here.
Picture of the day
Since I had a long tour over historic places today, having something for the ‘Picture of the day’ project was no problem. I made more than a 100 images today, so there is plenty of choice. Not to overkill your interest, I’ve selected three pictures for today’s POTD entry. Check them out here.
Petra tou Romiou and Kurium

Today I had a lot of driving around historical places. Olga’s two cousines (Tatiana Babenko and Natalia Babenko) came to Cyprus for a few days, so we are back to the guided tour schedule.
So, firstly we went ot Petra tou Romiou, which is also known as Aphrodite’s birthplace. It is a very photogenic place and the only thing which gets in the way is a crowd of tourists. But than again, if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t go there today. Secondly, we went to Kurium. We started by walking around the ruins of the theatre and everything else. Then we went down to the Kurium beach. It was too late for me and Olga to swim, but girls jumped into cold water none-the-less. Tour finished with some traditional kebab (Olga and I didn’t have it for years now…) and ice cream in Limassol.
I have made a bunch of pictures along the way. All of them are available here.
Payphone Project
There are all sorts of hobbies out there. Guys at Payphone Project collect everything that has anything to do with payphones – pictures, stories, phone numbers, news announcements, etc. I am not that kean on payphones (especially in this mobile century), but some pictures are really funny.
