Ugly zoo

Ugly zoo is an excellent collection of images manipulated in graphic editors (like Gimp or Adobe Photoshop) in order to merge pictures of one or more animals together to create something that nature haven’t (yet?) done.

This is not by any means anything new, but I decided to post it anyway, since everytime I see it I feel guilty that I didn’t do everything I could to promote this collection. :)

Dawn of the Dead

Olga and I went to see “Dawn of the Dead” in the cinema today. I am not a particular fan of horror movies, but this one had an excellent trailer and a lot of positive hype around it, so I decided what the hell.

Short story: this movie sucked. A lot. All of it. Completely. And it has nothing to do with me not liking the genre of horror. There was no horror in this film. There were no stanning special effects. There were no scary moments. There was not story. There was no acting. And there was no soundtrack. Actually there was nothing except for a bunch of guys and gals shooting a bunch of zombies for two hours.

The Operating System Resource Center

“The Operating System Resource Center” is a nice collection of links to loads of information about software and hardware subjects that usually come into mind when talking about computer operating systems. Boot process, hard disks, partitioning, file systems, processors, memory management, etc.

Greeks won the Euro 2004 finals!

GreeceJust few minutes ago the final match of Euro 2004 has finished. 1:0. Greece won the cup from Portugal. I don’t know why, but this time everyone was following the championship. Even people who have never ever watched football, like Olga, Hazard, and myself. Even Lev watched a match or two.

People are going mad in the streets with flags, drums and horns! :)
