Mean girls

Olga and I watched “Mean girls“. We expected this movie to be really ugly from the trailer. Basically, that’s why we didn’t go to the cinema to watch it – instead we saw a really terrible DivX with screwed up colors and ratio.

The film wasn’t as bad as it could have been. It is a somewhat typical movie for teenagers, about their problems, with their characters, and with their jokes. There were a couple of funny moments and it was pretty dynamic, but it was not a masterpiece by any measures.

Overall, I would give it a 6 out of 10. Watch it at home, if you have to.

Irina birthday

First flowers

Most of the day Olga and I spent in the mountains on a picnic dedicated to Irina Georgiades first birthday. There were plenty of kids (about the same age), many adults, lots of food, drinks and other fun.

I have made a few pictures, of course. This time I tried to stay out of talbe overview type photos, which are so usual and boring. Instead, I focused on portraits. Light was pretty good – sunny day with few clouds and we were under the shadows of trees. Some pictures came out with screwed up exposure, but most of them were OK.

Temporary mail outages

I am experiencing temporary email problems due to major migrations back and forward. I have attempted to move all accounts on the home server from mbox to Maildir and still do have some troubles with Courier IMAP. So far all incoming emails should end up where they were supposed to. Reading them, though, is a totally another story.

Hopefully, I will sort everything out within running Saturday. Sorry for any inconvenience (who can spell it better at 5:30am?) caused.
