Random bits

I did a good bit of perl programming again and spent 8 hours straight in the NOC on duty.

After the duty was over, went ot bowling for a couple of games with Olga, Lev, and Svetlana.

In the middle of the second game, Hazard called from Greece, saying that he (together with Kaguin) got stack on the customs. Apparently, they’ve arrived two hours before the date changed and they had their visa starting only on the next day. Luckily, one of the officers allowed them to wait in the draft beer and toilet equipped area. Later, SMS message notified me that they successfully reached the hotel. Those bearucrats are really funny, and really stupid sometimes.

And we are still waiting for Friday and Matrix Reloaded in local cinemas.

Office workstation debugged

The problem I’ve had for a week with my workstation at work was properly troubleshooted today. It turned out that it was exactly as I suggested from the very beginning. The problem was with CPU fan. And no, it was working. It’s just that the plastic lock that was keeping the fan glued to CPU broke for some strange reason. Now, I am waiting for the replacement, therefor my email response might be a little slower then usual. Stay with me.
