Update on Deep Purple’s visit to Cyprus

Firstly, I wanted to let everyone know that I am planning to go to the concert. I’ll be ticket hunting during the coming week. Anyone else wants to go?

Secondly, I noticed a strange thing with Google. My blog comes out as the top first result for the query “deep purple cyprus“. I’ve seconded even the official Deep Purple website. Does anyone know how can I make any money out of it? Just kidding. No, actually, I am serious.

Thirdly, some humor regarding the upcoming concert. I’ve heard a few guys talking the other day:

Someone: Are you planning to go to the concert?

Someone else: I’d go only on one condition – that they won’t play “Smoke on the water”. I’ve heard it way too many times and I don’t want to hear it again.

Someone else else: I must be kidding me. They would be killed and tortured by the crowd in so many different creative ways if they won’t play “Smoke on the water”… I’m sure even they know it and they won’t risk it.

Yet another someone else: I’m sure half of that crowd would pay twice the price of the ticket to just hear “Smoke on the water” a couple of times and nothing else. All they want is to hear it from the original source for once.

That second guy: Oh, well. Tough luck than.

Deep Purple is coming to Cyprus

Yes, yes, yes. All those rumors from the last six month were actually true. The fathers of rock music – Deep Purple – are coming to Cyprus. They will be performing at Makarious Stadium in Nicosia on 15th July 2005.

Does anyone have any ideas about the tickets? Where can I buy one and how much will it cost? 80+ CYP seems like a standard entry-level charge, but I need someone to confirm.

Anyway, if you have any additional information about the event, please let me know via comments.

XXVII Moscow International Film Festival: Day 6

Today is the last day of the Festival. This will probably bring sadness to those who follows the event and joy to those who don’t, as I might have bored them with these post series to death by now.

Anyway, without further ado, read onto the movie list.

XXVII Moscow International Film Festival: Day 5

The Festival continues and the list of films to see grows. Every day has at least 5 high ranking suggestions to pay some attention to. Let’s see what today brings us.

Also, let me take this chance to correct myself. I said previously that the Festival spans 5 days. This is not true. The Festival continues for more than a week, with 6 days dedicated to movies. Tomorrow will be the last movie showing day of the Festival. I misread this information when I posted it the first time.

XXVII Moscow International Film Festival: Day 4

The Festival continues and so do I. There are 32 films on display for today. As always, try to choose from those on top of the list. If you have any information regarding films on the bottom of the list, please share with me via comments. I will than upate all those N/A fields. Enjoy.
