I love photography. For me, it’s like painting, but better. And more accurate. And unlike painting, I can actually participate. I am not a big success or great master by any means. But I enjoy taking pictures. I also enjoy looking at other people work and sometimes sharing it. When I do, this is the category that I use.

About light and colors

“Causes of Colors” website is an excellent resource about colors and light. I’ll put it into photography section, since photography is the most obvious application for light and because they have a lot of excellent photographs up there. But everyone should look through that site. It is fascinating.

Why are things colored? There are three causes. Repeated over and over, in innumerable variety, they create our colorful world. Light is made in the yellow glow of candle. Light is lost when light filters through stained glass. Light is moved when sky turns crimson sunset.

Web is full of musems. I have already posted links to museums of old televisions sets, obsolete computers, and Soviet calculators.

This time, it is the turn of photocameras. “Antique & 19th Century Cameras” website is an excellent place where you can learn about those beasts, as well as exchange, sell or buy them.

Village paintball pictures

Paintball SoldierToday I spent most of the second half of the day playing paintball. I had some great time and I have made few nice pictures. I am actually a bit overwhelmed with the experience and so I will need some time to write everything down.
