Golden hands located

Finally, after many years of searching I have found an expert on house maintenance. This guy is fantastic! He can paint walls and ceilings (with crack patching), fix electrical appliences, and change plumbing equipment. Proabaly he can do tonnes more. He is reasonably cheap, fast, and reliable.

The only two minor problems with him are:

He has a day job which comes as a priority to him. All the other work should be arranged around his schedule (which basically means that he is free only in the second half of the day).
He does not have a car. This means that he should be picked up, drived to the DIY shop for tools and materials, brought to the spot, and taken home afterwords.

Any Given Sunday

Just watched “Any Given Sunday“. This is by far the best movie about American football that I have ever seen. Football sequences are done amazingly well, plenty of suspense make you grip the armchair handles, and outstanding soundtrack (“Black Sabbath”, “Godsmack”, “P.O.D.”, etc) boosts up the atmosphere to the adrenaline heaven.

The film itself is very close to perfect. Not only the football sequences were great, but the whole film was very photogenic and excellently directed. Mastered by Oliver Stone, with stars such as Al Pacino and Cameron Diaz the film feels like a great real life story. I think it was before the second minute of the movie that I forgot that I am actually watching a movie. It just sucks you in and don’t let you out until the end. Amazing experience.

Fedora Extras available for download

I have some great news for Fedora Linux users: Fedora Extras are available for download. Fedora Extras is a software repository with packages that didn’t make it into Fedora distribution, but which are requested by a lot of people. All of these are built specifically for Fedora Linux distribution and are available as yum and apt repositories.

The Lost 1984 Mac Video

The first demonstration of Macintosh by Steve Jobs was recorded on video, but never made it to the Web until recently. The Betamax tape is 21 years old! The digital version is here.
