Today, my mother left Cyprus. She was here since 27th of August. We had lots of fun. Next time she will come to help with the baby sometime around February-March.

Picture of the day
Today is the second day of my “Shoot at least one picture every day” project-experiment. It was easy, since I went for a trip to Foini and Kouris. I have selected 3 pictures for today’s folder in POTD. Check them out here.
Trip to Foini
Today, Hazard, my mother, Alex, Olga, and I went for the trip to mountains. First, we stopped in Foini tavern for some excellent food. Than we had a walk around the village. On the way back to Limassol, we stopped at Kouris lake to check the water level and the way the church looks.
I made a lot of pictures, which are available here. I was tricked by the sun few times, since it was pretty hard with harsh shadows, although it was past 4:00pm. Also, the lens hood didn’t seem to help in all the situations that I expected it to. Anyway, some pictures are pretty cool and I am more-or-less satisfied.
Blackout sweeps one-third of island
Recent downtimes could have been somehow connected to the problems that Cyprus Electricity authority is having. Yesterday, for example, there was a massive blackout that left one third of the island without power. Fortunately, my place was not among the cut off houses.
