It also looked somewhat familiar, but I couldn&#8217;t recall watching it, so I decided to rent it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directed by:<\/strong> Phillip Noyce<br \/>\n<strong>Genres:<\/strong> Mystery, Drama, Thriller<br \/>\n<strong>Cast:<\/strong> Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Queen Latifah, Michael Rooker, Mike McGlone, Luis Guzm&#225;n, Leland Orser, John Benjamin Hickey, Bobby Cannavale, Ed O&#8217;Neill, Richard Zeman, Olivia Birkelund, Gary Swanson, James Bulleit, Frank Fontaine<br \/>\n<strong>IMDB raintg:<\/strong> 6.2<br \/>\n<strong>My rating:<\/strong> 6.5 [rate 6.5]<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The movie is a good crime action thriller.  There are plenty similar movies but this one stands out and I can easily place it on the same shelf with such genre classics as &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0114369\/\">Se7en<\/a>&#8221; and &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0102926\/\">The Silence of the Lambs<\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>Good crime story with lots of murders by some maniac is a good start.  Excellent casting and greate sound are of a good support.  But most importantly, this film walks a fine line between a disturbing thriller and a disgusting something that noone wants to see.  I have to admit that showing people with cut off pieces of flash in such a manner that majority of healthy audience wouldn&#8217;t throw up in a second is a tough task.  This film does it perfectly.  Meaning that I almost wanted to look away but never did.  Fantastic job.<\/p>\n<p>I really enjoyed the film although this is not my favourite genre.  Thrillers are just not my kind of movies.
