{"id":47998,"date":"2020-03-28T20:49:12","date_gmt":"2020-03-28T18:49:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mamchenkov.net\/wordpress\/?p=47998"},"modified":"2020-03-28T20:49:12","modified_gmt":"2020-03-28T18:49:12","slug":"asked-countrys-embassy-flags-119-packages","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mamchenkov.net\/wordpress\/2020\/03\/28\/asked-countrys-embassy-flags-119-packages\/","title":{"rendered":"How I asked EVERY countrys embassy for flags [119 packages]"},"content":{"rendered":"<!-- google_ad_section_start -->\n<p>Here&#8217;s one of the best YouTube videos I&#8217;ve seen in a very long time.\u00a0 In fact, I love is so much, I&#8217;ve decided to take in effort beyond just sharing it.\u00a0 Watch it first, and then I&#8217;ll share a list of reasons why I love it.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"660\" height=\"372\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Jbix9y8iV38?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<p>So, here we go with my own personal reasons of why I love it.\u00a0 In no particular order, as always.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>It&#8217;s not about COVID-19\/Coronavirus.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s positive, nice and kind.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s funny.\u00a0 Not like stupid funny, or stand-up funny.\u00a0 But it still is.<\/li>\n<li>It has substance.\u00a0 It&#8217;s not a video for the sake of video.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a video about a rather long and complex project, which took a lot of effort.<\/li>\n<li>It bridges the real world and technology, and shows how one helps the other.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s very personal, yet very global.<\/li>\n<li>It demonstrates one of my strong believes, that even simply asking for something, even from total strangers, has merit.\u00a0 Not everyone will respond.\u00a0 Not everyone will respond in the way you want them to.\u00a0 But overall you&#8217;ll get more than you thought you would.<\/li>\n<li>Cyprus made it high up the recognition list.<\/li>\n<li>Political neutrality.\u00a0 \u00a0A lot of the countries mentioned in this video, have a long, complex, and often violent relationship with each other.\u00a0 Yet, that doesn&#8217;t matter for this particular project.<\/li>\n<li>Free stuff.\u00a0 Who doesn&#8217;t like free stuff.<\/li>\n<li>Production of the video.\u00a0 It&#8217;s not over the top professional production, yet it&#8217;s not an amateur talking head, filmed on the mobile phone in the car.<\/li>\n<li>Maps.\u00a0 I love maps, and especially checking them off on the global map.\u00a0 Bonus points for more than one color for checked out colors.<\/li>\n<li>Flags.\u00a0 Even though I don&#8217;t collect or study flags, I love flags and their designs.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s work and family friendly.\u00a0 Easily shareable with everyone I know.<\/li>\n<li>Bonus point: it just makes me feel good about the world.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<!-- google_ad_section_end -->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<!-- google_ad_section_start -->\n<p>Here&#8217;s one of the best YouTube videos I&#8217;ve seen in a very long time.\u00a0 In fact, I love is so much, I&#8217;ve decided to take in effort beyond just sharing it.\u00a0 Watch it first, and then I&#8217;ll share a list of reasons why I love it.
