{"id":26085,"date":"2016-05-03T08:23:21","date_gmt":"2016-05-03T06:23:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mamchenkov.net\/wordpress\/?p=26085"},"modified":"2016-05-03T08:23:21","modified_gmt":"2016-05-03T06:23:21","slug":"algorithm-economy-and-containers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mamchenkov.net\/wordpress\/2016\/05\/03\/algorithm-economy-and-containers\/","title":{"rendered":"Algorithm Economy and Containers"},"content":{"rendered":"<!-- google_ad_section_start -->\n<p>Containers (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.docker.com\/\">Docker<\/a>, et al) have been getting all the hype recently. \u00a0I&#8217;ve played around with these a bit, but I&#8217;m not yet convinced this is the next greatest thing for projects that I am involved with currently. \u00a0However, it helps to look at these from different perspectives. \u00a0Here&#8217;s a <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.algorithmia.com\/2016\/02\/algorithm-economy-containers-microservices\/\">blog post<\/a> that ties containers to a new term that I haven&#8217;t heard before &#8211; algorithm economy.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The<strong> \u201calgorithm economy\u201d<\/strong> is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gartner.com\/technology\/research\/algorithm-economy\/\">a term established by Gartner<\/a> to describe the next wave of innovation, where developers can produce, distribute, and commercialize their code.
