This means that learning another programming language that focuses more specifically on a given style of software development can help improve <em>anyone&#8217;s<\/em> understanding of that style of programming in the context of Python.<\/p>\n<p>To aid in such efforts, I&#8217;ve provided a list below of some possible areas for exploration, and other languages which may provide additional insight into those areas.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The languages and areas are:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"simple\">\n<li>Procedural programming: C, Rust, Cython<\/li>\n<li>Object-oriented data modelling: Java, C#, Eiffel<\/li>\n<li>Object-oriented C derivatives: C++, D<\/li>\n<li>Array-oriented data processing: MATLAB\/Octave, Julia<\/li>\n<li>Statistical data analysis: R<\/li>\n<li>Computational pipeline modelling: Haskell, Scala, Clojure, F#<\/li>\n<li>Event driven programming: JavaScript, Go, Erlang, Elixir<\/li>\n<li>Gradual typing: TypeScript<\/li>\n<li>Dynamic metaprogramming: Hy,
