In additional to the video I posted yesterday<\/a>, here are some comparison images of Berlin in 1945 and today<\/a>, in 2015.<\/p>\n

And this is just a single city from the World War II. \u00a0I’m pretty sure most of Europe and half of Russia looked like that. \u00a0And these are cities, which survived. \u00a0Think of hundreds or thousands of villages that were completely erased from the face of the earth. \u00a0Think of tens of millions of people who perished. \u00a0All that was just 70 years ago. \u00a0And it looks likes we haven’t learned or remembered our lessons. \u00a0It’s 2015 and the world is still at war.<\/p>\n

“It’s different now”, you might say. \u00a0But I’ll argue. \u00a0People die the same. \u00a0And places are destroyed the same. \u00a0Just have a look at some of the images from Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yugoslavia, Syria, Egypt … the list of countries grows every year.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\n
