Fighting back against NSA spying. | EFFector 26.14<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Last night, we received confirmation from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/world\/2013\/jun\/06\/nsa-phone-records-verizon-court-order\">a report in the<em>Guardian<\/em><\/a>\u00a0that the National Security Agency (NSA) is currently collecting the call records of every Verizon customer in America. The NSA order forces Verizon to provide &#8220;on an ongoing daily basis&#8221; all call records for any call &#8220;wholly within the United States, including local telephone calls\u201d and any call made &#8220;between the United States and abroad.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s not all. Today, the\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/investigations\/us-intelligence-mining-data-from-nine-us-internet-companies-in-broad-secret-program\/2013\/06\/06\/3a0c0da8-cebf-11e2-8845-d970ccb04497_story.html\">Washington Post<\/a><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/world\/2013\/jun\/06\/us-tech-giants-nsa-data\">the<em>Guardian<\/em><\/a>\u00a0published reports based on information provided by a career intelligence officer showing how the NSA and the FBI are tapping directly into the central servers of nine leading U.S. Internet companies.
