Today while setting up yet another project on my hosting server. \u00a0The server runs CentOS 5.6, which means PHP 5.1.6 is used. \u00a0However the new project required PHP 5.2.0+. \u00a0It turned out upgrading PHP is trivial. \u00a0There is even a Howto Guide in CentOS wiki<\/a>. \u00a0The steps are:<\/p>\n

  1. Add CentOS Testing repository to yum.<\/li>\n
  2. yum update PHP packages.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
